Swiss elopement photographer

Who am I?

I'm Tonya.

I approach photography as an authored practice and art form, not a cosmetic service.

I am interested in how people actually move through the world, how they hold one another, where attention rests when no one is performing. My work is not about perfection, correction, or trends. It is about presence, relationship, and emotional accuracy.

I direct gently but intentionally, much like a filmmaker would. I guide scenes, pacing, and movement, while leaving room for what is unscripted. The goal is not to manufacture moments, but to recognize them as they emerge. I am less interested in how something should look than in how it feels to be there.

The people who work with me are curious. They care about photography as an art form and trust interpretation over control. They are comfortable being seen as they are and are less concerned with being visually “flattered” than with being honestly represented. They value restraint, history, and meaning over polish.

If you are looking for images that smooth, slim, or perfect, my work will likely feel uncomfortable. If you are drawn to photographs that feel lived-in, cinematic, and quietly intimate, then we are likely aligned.

This work asks for trust. In return, it offers something lasting.

Say hello.

Let's start planning your day, together.
